Preston Davis is the Founder of Eleven Twenty-Three, a marketing and brand management company launched in 2013, and currently serves as Executive Director of Marketing at Trulieve, one of the largest cannabis companies in the United States. After building a successful career launching and scaling brands within corporate environments, Preston made the entrepreneurial leap, bringing strategic leadership across startups, media platforms, and global brands. His experience spans some of the world’s most recognizable beverage and spirits brands, including Coca-Cola’s vitaminwater and smartwater, D’USSE Cognac, and CORE Hydration. His client roster includes NBC Sports, Nike, Belvedere Vodka, Dr Pepper, Universal Music Group, and more.
Originally from Washington, DC, Preston relocated to New York City in 2006 in pursuit of greater opportunity. Within two years, he advanced from Marketing Team Lead to District Marketing Manager at Coca-Cola’s vitaminwater. In 2013, he founded Eleven Twenty-Three to help brands build relevance, scale impact, and drive cultural connection.
Following a successful entrepreneurial stretch, Preston was recruited to join the marketing team at D’USSE Cognac, where he managed high-profile partnerships including Cohiba Cigars, Roc Nation, Rihanna’s annual Met Gala celebration, and major tours and special events, including Jay-Z’s TIDAL launch in 2015.
In 2016, Preston was tapped to lead marketing strategy for premium bottled water startup CORE Hydration. Over two years, he significantly expanded brand awareness and strategic partnerships, contributing to CORE’s $525 million acquisition by Dr Pepper in 2018.
After CORE’s acquisition, Preston joined Complex Networks to spearhead the launch of its in-house agency business. There, he led project management for Pepsi and oversaw partnerships tied to Black Panther, Venom, Samsung x NBA 2K20, TikTok, 7-Eleven, 1800 Tequila, and ComplexCon.
In 2021, Preston joined Blavity as Marketing Director, where he led marketing strategy across digital platforms and live experiences, deepening community engagement and expanding partnerships with Google, Spotify, Twitter, Clubhouse, and UNCF. He also championed the launch of the AfroTech Virtual Metaverse, an immersive digital experience that engaged more than 30,000 attendees globally, reinforcing Blavity’s position at the intersection of culture, technology, and innovation.
Today, as Executive Director of Marketing at Trulieve, Preston leads brand and growth initiatives for one of the nation’s largest cannabis companies. Across every chapter of his career, his work reflects a consistent belief: lasting success is built through discipline, intention, and commitment to the process, not just the reward.
